Growing a future for our communities

Our industry is deeply tied to the communities we work in. The work we do has implications for everyone, and we want everyone to have a say.

The forest industry is one of the largest employers in many of NB's rural communities. Many of those villages, towns, and cities actually formed around forest industry operations, meaning that our work is woven into the history and social fabric there. In all communities, we connect with the people who live where we work through public consultation and by building lasting relationships.

#Iam1of24k, are you?

More than 24 000 people are linked to NB's Forest sector, directly and indirectly. Some harvest, some plant, some manage lands, some do research, and many manufacture wood products.

These videos showcase many of the various wood products made in NB, and some of the people making them.

Our forests and the wood products produced from them are a nature-based solution that helps mitigate climate change.

Building with wood and innovating to create value-added products like bioplastics and biofuels from wood can help to lower carbon footprints and mitigate the effects of climate change.

Forest NB membership benefits our communities

From harvesters, wood pellets and paper to rayon, lobster traps and lumber, our members manufacture various forest products that are sold both domestically and exported all over the world. At Forest NB we strive to unite forest products manufacturers and take advantage of opportunities to educate the public on their production techniques. With benefits ranging from government and public relations to exclusive networking opportunities, the benefits to membership are always growing.
